Imagine spending the night in a real jail cell. Refurbished to offer a little more comfort and privacy, the converted cell block offers a unique accommodation experience at an incredible price.

With 27 rooms, 7 restored jail cells and a total of 155 beds, Cellblock is Bundaberg’s largest backpackers resort, and Queensland’s only themed backpackers resort.

Choose from the jail cells originally used for solitary confinement (ideal for a couple), 3-4 person dorms, 5-6 person dorms or 7-10 person dorms. Single sex rooms are also available upon request.

Each bed includes a huge 100kg locker, and every room has hotel style security card entry – as safe as a police station!

Your special prison issued linen is provided, and along with a variety of historical rooms to stay in, you will enjoy the luxury of Bundaberg’s newest backpacker resort.
